The Falls Fins Swim Team participates in the Atlanta Swimming Association League, a program for kids of all skill levels, designed to introduce swimmers to the concepts of competitive swimming in a friendly environment.

In the water, the Fins coaches work with swimmers on technique, speed, and improving endurance in the four competitive strokes. They emphasize the value of sportsmanship, respect, team spirit, and, most of all…FUN and FRIENDSHIP.

Bring a buddy; swimmers from our neighboring communities are always welcome.

Summer league is not a learn-to-swim program, to ensure your swimmer has a safe, fun, positive swim team experience:

• Swimmers between the ages of 4 - 18yr on May 31st are eligible.
• Swimmers 6 & Under are required to "swim" 1/2 of the 25yd pool length unassisted.
• Swimmers 7 & Up are required to "swim" (back or front) the 25 yards of the pool unassisted.

After-school practices are held Monday through Friday starting in early May. Morning practices begin once school is out and run through the end of June. Swimmers participate in Thursday night meets against neighboring swim teams, followed by "Fun Friday" with ribbons, awards, and donuts. The eight-week season wraps up with a celebration and a Championship Meet at Georgia Tech.

Whether just starting or returning as a Fins veteran, participating on a recreational swim team is a chance to experience the benefits of a lifelong sport while building memories full of good friends, teamwork, and sunny summer days at the pool.

Other than our Fins coaches, the team is 100% volunteer-based. Summer league swimming is a "family" sport, parents are an integral part of the team as they volunteer, lead, and run the organization. With so many volunteer opportunities, everyone plays an important role and has a great time.
