Falls of Autry Mill HOA Rules and Guidelines
- Only Falls Fins swimmers are permitted usage of the competition pool during May.
- Team swimmers are only permitted to be in the lap pool under the supervision of the coaches and only during their scheduled practice times.
- Swimmers, siblings, parents and friends are not permitted to use the kiddie and quiet pool before the official opening of the Falls of Autry Mill pools (Memorial Day weekend).
- Coaches are not responsible for your swimmer before and after their scheduled practice times.
- During practice, swimmers are not allowed in the pool area unless it is their scheduled practice time. If a swimmer must remain in the pool area while waiting for a parent or their scheduled practice to begin, they must not be disruptive to practices or coaches.
- No children under the age of 13 can remain at the pool without direct supervision of an authorized caregiver at any time during the season.

The Clubhouse is for residents only, no swimmer is allowed to enter or use the clubhouse facilities unless accompanied by a coach or parent. At no time is anyone under the age of 16 allowed to use the gym equipment.
These policies are in place for the safety of all family members and siblings to allow your swimmer to focus and listen to the coaches without distractions.
Arrival:
- Please arrive to practice on time
- Arrive at practice dressed in your swimsuit and ready to swim
What to bring to practice:
- Swimsuit. Girls should wear a one-piece swimsuit.
- Goggles (recommended)
- Cap (recommended)
- Towel
- Waterbottle
- Warm Clothing
- Shorts/T-Shirt/Sneakers in case of dryland training
Practice Conclusion:
- NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 13 may remain at the pool without direct parental supervision or an authorized caretaker.
- Please be on time to pick your swimmer up after practice.
- If you need to speak with a member of the coaching staff regarding your swimmer, please set up a time to speak with them before or after practice. While the coaches are happy to talk with parents regarding their swimmer, during practice the coaches are focused on assisting all of the swimmers and this is not a time that coaches generally have to chat with parents one-on-one.
SWIMMER SAFETY AND DISCIPLINE POLICY
The safety of our swimmers is important; therefore, practices and meets must be held in a controlled and safe environment. Please make sure that your swimmers are aware of the following discipline policy to ensure everyone has a safe and fun experience:
- Swimmers 6 & Under are required to independently "swim" 1/2 of the 25yd pool length, some “freestyle” stroke should be evident.
- Swimmers 7 & Up are required to independently "swim" (back or front) the 25 yards of the pool. Swimmer Safety and Discipline Policies
- Swimmers are expected to follow directions from the coaches and adhere to safety rules • Swimmers are to remain in the pool area during practice.
- Swimmers are expected to respect coaches, volunteers, and fellow swimmers at all times.
- Profane language, indecent gestures, wrestling, or horseplay are not acceptable.
Discipline Policy:
- First incident: Verbal warning.
- Second incident: Coaches will take appropriate action; parents and swim team manager are notified.
- Third incident: Swimmer is withdrawn from the team.
Serious or Repeated Infractions: The coaches will attempt to handle the situation, but if their efforts are unsuccessful, the swimmer will be sent home. The swimmer will not be allowed back to practice or to participate in any meets until their parents resolve the situation with the coaches and the Falls Fins Management.
Swimmers Who Are Constantly Disruptive: The coach has the authority to remove swimmers from the team who are constantly disruptive. Parents will be informed before this step is taken. There will be no refund of the registration fee if a swimmer is removed from the team due to disciplinary reasons.

ASA Sportmanship Policy
The Atlanta Swim Association has a Code of Ethics that is used as a guide for the swim league. Adherence to this code is required, and failure to comply with these standards may result in disciplinary action from the league.
- All Team Representatives, Coaches, Participants, Official, and Spectators will treat other Team Representatives, Coaches, Participants, Officials, and Spectators with respect.
- All Team Representatives, Coaches, and Officials will lead by example in demonstrating fair play and sportsmanship for all participants.
- All Team Representatives, Coaches, and Officials will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all participants, coaches, and officials at every event, practice, and meeting.
- All Team Representatives, Coaches, and Officials shall provide support for coaches and officials working with the league to provide a positive and enjoyable experience for all.
- All Team Representatives, Coaches, and Officials will place the emotional and physical well being of their participants ahead of a personal desire to win.
- All Team Representatives, Coaches, and Officials will treat each participant as an individual, remembering the large range of emotional and physical development of members of the same age group.
- All Team Representatives, Coaches, and Officials will do their best to provide a safe playing situation and environment.
- All Team Representatives, Coaches, and Officials will do their best to organize practices that are fun and challenging for all participants.
- All Team Representatives, Coaches, and Officials will be knowledgeable in the rules of the league and the sport, and will teach these rules to their participants and parents.
- All Team Representatives and Coaches will use coaching techniques appropriate for the league and the sport of swimming.
- All Team Representatives, Coaches, and Officials must remember that the league is for children and not for adults. The Atlanta Swim Association is an introductory program for recreational swimming. Year round and intensely competitive programs are available from several local US Swimming Clubs.
Individuals not complying with these rules will be subject to suspension or dismissal from the league. A panel of League Officials, Team Representatives and Coaches will be responsible for hearing any complaints pertaining to this rule during the season and rendering any penalty if necessary.
